About Boardman Local School District
Boardman’s three elementary schools lead to an unusually long intermediate stage. Students enter Boardman Center Intermediate School for grades four through six, spend grades seven and eight at Boardman Glenwood Junior High, and complete the ordinary route at Boardman High School.
The three-year intermediate span gives the full district cohort time to settle into a shared program before the shorter junior-high stage. Music, theater, visual arts, technology, athletics, and clubs develop across those common buildings instead of being divided among several secondary feeders.
Boardman’s Career Connections Framework is also organized by building and grade level. Early career awareness becomes more concrete at the junior high and high school, where students can connect academic work with technical study, college planning, and employment interests. The framework grows inside one comprehensive secondary sequence rather than through separate career and academic schools.
