About Beavercreek City Schools

Beavercreek City Schools crosses Greene and Montgomery counties and serves the City and Township of Beavercreek, Alpha, and portions of several neighboring jurisdictions. Six elementary schools and a preschool give younger children several local entry points across this broad attendance area.

The system becomes more concentrated after elementary school. Students attend Ankeney or Coy Middle School, then come together at Ferguson Hall Freshman School. Ferguson Hall is the standard ninth-grade assignment for the district, creating a full year devoted to the academic and social transition into high school. Students move to Beavercreek High School for grades ten through twelve, where the larger course, activity, arts, and athletics program becomes available.

That extra building stage distinguishes Beavercreek from a conventional elementary–middle–high sequence. It allows students from two middle schools to begin high-school expectations together before entering a much larger upper-grade campus. Community organizations and volunteers contribute to student activities and services, while the district’s size supports varied academic levels and extracurricular choices. For families, the most important planning point is grade nine: it is a separate school assignment with its own routines, followed by another transition before grade ten.
