Centerville City Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Two Primary Villages give Centerville and Washington Township children an unusual beginning to public school, serving preschool through first grade in shared early-learning settings. They then move into six neighborhood elementary schools for grades two through five, creating a blend of communitywide early learning and more localized elementary relationships.

The system expands again in adolescence. Students attend one of three middle schools for grades six through eight and eventually converge at Centerville High School, a large comprehensive high school serving the entire district. That progression produces several changes in peer group and school scale. Young children first learn in buildings designed around a narrow developmental range, elementary students gain a neighborhood identity, and teenagers gradually enter the larger Elk community.

Centerville’s size supports extensive advanced courses, arts, athletics, clubs, career exploration, and student services. The School of Possibilities serves high-school students who are behind in credits or need a different setting. For the general population, Centerville High is the first building shared by every path that began in the two Primary Villages, six elementary schools, and three middle schools.
