Green Local Schools Calendar 2027-2028

Green Local Schools uses four grade-centered buildings: Green Primary for preschool through grade one, Green Elementary for grades two through five, Green Middle School covering grades six through eight, and Green High School for grades nine through twelve. Every major transition moves an entire age group, so families do not have to navigate competing elementary feeders or separate secondary pathways. Recent facilities consolidation is already reflected in this operating sequence.

At the high school, the common local route opens into several postsecondary directions. Students can combine advanced coursework, arts, athletics, and activities with college- and career-readiness planning; all juniors take the ACT during the school day. Students pursuing technical programs can use Portage Lakes Career Center as a regional option beyond the local high-school campus.

The four-building design makes Green easy to read from the outside, and the most important distinction appears at the final stage. Green High remains the shared academic and community base; the career center functions as a regional technical option outside the local campus. Students gain wider choices without changing the district’s age-based progression.
