About Huber Heights City Schools
Huber Heights City Schools serves a largely suburban community northeast of Dayton through five elementary schools, one junior high, and one comprehensive high school. The five elementary buildings extend through grade six, so younger students remain in a neighborhood-scale setting for most of their first seven school years. Grades seven and eight are spent at Weisenborn Junior High; Wayne High follows.
Wayne is both the common high-school destination and the district’s principal center for specialized study. Its Career Technology Center offers multiple pathways alongside the comprehensive academic program, allowing students to enter career-technical coursework without leaving the district for a separate full-time campus. Arts, athletics, advanced courses, and other electives operate within the same large school.
Warrior Academy is a placement-based online pathway for students whose circumstances make attendance at the home building impractical. Referrals and final approval are handled through district staff, and some students also attend required in-person support sessions. Most students continue through the K–6 elementary, Weisenborn, and Wayne sequence; Warrior Academy and the Career Technology Center serve different needs within the secondary system.
