About Massillon City Schools
Massillon City Schools begins with an east–west elementary split. Massillon East and Massillon West opened in fall 2025 for preschool through grade three. Both attendance areas merge at Massillon Intermediate for grades four through six, continue to Massillon Junior High for grades seven and eight, and enter Washington High School in grade nine.
The two elementary schools replaced a more fragmented primary network and created two clear entry communities for younger children. Address matters through grade three; from fourth grade onward, the district follows one shared sequence. Massillon Intermediate becomes the first campus attended by students from both sides of the elementary map. Career exploration begins in the junior-high years and can lead into Washington High’s career-technical programs alongside comprehensive academics, advanced courses, arts, athletics, and college options. Routine boundary adjustments may affect East or West, while the later three schools and the traditions centered at Washington High remain common destinations.
