About Mentor Public Schools
Mentor Public Schools serves Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Concord Township, and Kirtland Hills through seven elementary schools, Memorial and Shore middle schools, and Mentor High School. Students remain in a K–5 attendance-area school, enter one of the two grades six-through-eight middle schools, and meet as a full district cohort in grade nine. The first two stages preserve several local school communities before the system becomes fully centralized.
Mentor High’s size supports more than two hundred courses, including Advanced Placement, career-technical study, arts, electives, online or distance-learning options, and a wide extracurricular program. The two middle-school populations arrive at a campus designed to offer many different schedules within one school community, from advanced academics to technical and artistic study.
The district also operates a specialized school for students with autism who need a defined instructional and support environment. That setting serves a specific population alongside the seven-elementary, two-middle, one-high-school system used by most families.
