About Warren City School District
Warren City School District uses four long-span community campuses—Jefferson, Lincoln, McGuffey, and Willard—for preschool through grade eight. Instead of transferring students from an elementary building to a separate middle school after fifth or sixth grade, each attendance-area campus can keep its community together through the end of eighth grade.
At ninth grade, all four routes converge at Warren G. Harding High School, which serves grades nine through twelve. This creates one major ordinary K–12 building transition: the move from a PK–8 campus to the citywide high school. Siblings across a wide age range may attend the same community school, and students can remain connected to one building and staff for many years.
District services and high-school academic, arts, athletics, career, and college options add support without forming another attendance-area route. Address determines which PK–8 campus a child uses, but not the eventual high school. The long-span campuses—not the number of program names—are the central feature of Warren’s school organization.
