About Miamisburg City Schools
Miamisburg City Schools has used a grade-banded elementary model since 2024–25. Bauer, Bear, Medlar View, and Mark Twain serve kindergarten through grade two; Jane Chance, Kinder, and Mound serve grades three through five. A home address identifies both the primary school and the intermediate school that follows.
The links do not form four equal one-to-one pairs. Students from both Bear and Mark Twain, for example, move to Kinder, while other areas feed Jane Chance or Mound. Some primary communities therefore begin merging after second grade, before the full district enters Miamisburg Middle School and Miamisburg High School.
Maddux-Lang Preschool provides an earlier entry point outside the universal K–12 sequence. Elementary placement requires two boundary checks—one for K–2 and another for grades three through five—before the route becomes districtwide in grade six.
