Springboro Community City School District Calendar 2027-2028

Springboro Schools uses narrow grade bands that create several planned campus changes. Clearcreek Elementary serves preschool through grade one. Dennis and Five Points divide students for grades two through five. All students spend sixth grade at Springboro Intermediate, continue to Springboro Junior High in grades seven and eight, and finish at Springboro High School.

The stand-alone sixth-grade school is the most unusual part of the route. It gives students one districtwide transition year between two elementary populations and the junior high, followed by another campus move only a year later. The sixth-grade year is therefore both a districtwide merger and a deliberately short bridge. After the Dennis–Five Points split, every later ordinary grade band has one destination. The shared high school broadens academic, artistic, athletic, and college-or-career opportunities without changing the age-based progression. Families can therefore predict the sequence from grade level, while still expecting more building transitions than in a standard K–5, 6–8, 9–12 system.
