About Xenia Community Schools
Xenia Community Schools covers city, township, village, suburban, and rural addresses, but the main school sequence is simple. Arrowood, Cox, McKinley, Shawnee, and Tecumseh are K–5 elementary schools assigned primarily by home address. Students from all five schools come together at Warner Middle School for grades six through eight, then continue to Xenia High School for grades nine through twelve. The current Warner building opened in January 2025 and is already in use.
Resident families may request a different elementary through the annual intradistrict process, while eligible nonresident students use a separate open-enrollment application. Neither process guarantees the requested school. Online Edge is a separate grades 6–12 option. Applicants must meet program criteria, show they can manage remote coursework, and commit for at least a semester; they remain Xenia students and may join activities at Warner or Xenia High when otherwise eligible. In practice, home address mainly determines the elementary school. Warner and Xenia High are shared districtwide.
